Partial Verticals

‘Portrait’ layout is perhaps not used as frequently in photography as the ubiquitous ‘landscape’ is, with exceptions such as with portraiture and in studios, though as these shots illustrate they can also be very effective in artistically-based architectural photography. Rules for the technical accuracy of the building are not essential, as the purpose of the shot is as much to provoke emotion and reaction. There are converging lines and odd angles here, although the essence of the architecture is generally also apparent.
